This is one of several panels with horses, which originally evolved in the Americas before migrating to Europe. The horse has been extirpated from N. America several times in its evolutionary history. The last extirpation before Europeans re-introduced domesticated horses was about 11,000 years ago. That logically dates the photo sometime after the 1600s as Stacey pointed out.
